SCHOOL YEAR SOCIAL GROUPS

Our social language groups target all areas of communication that affect socializing and friendship.

PLAY WITH ME

Social groups for our youngest children.

Ages 3 - 6

Preschool-Kindergarten

Play builds language! In these groups children will address conversation skills and social skills needed for play and friendship. Video modeling and stories are used to teach skills.  Groups will incorporate movement and music to address all types of play from board games to party games and pretend play.

LET'S TALK

Groups for our elementary aged students

Let's Talk I (K/1st-3rd grades)

Let's Talk II (4th-6th grades)

Let's Talk groups are geared toward the child struggling with peer relationships, social problem solving and conversation.  Video modeling, role play, and games are used to target areas of difficulty.

TWEENS & TEENS

A group for our preteens and teenagers.

Hanging Out

Tweens and Teens face different social communication difficulties once in middle and high school. Topics covered include: nonverbal communication (reading body language and facial expressions), initiating hangouts with friends, joining group discussions, humor (understanding and effectively using it), social problem-solving at school and with friends.
